Q: Do you take my insurance?
A: In Touch Chiropractic is a non-participating provider with all insurance companies other than Medicare. If you have any questions please reach out to us for more information.
Q: What is a subluxation?
A: A subluxation is boney misalignment of two or more vertebrae (spinal bones) that can cause irritation and/or dysfunction to the nerves that exit the spine.
Q: How do I get subluxations?
A: We can get subluxations throughout our lives through major and minor traumas, exposure to toxic chemicals and enduring emotional stresses.
Q: Do I have to continue care after my pain is gone?
A: At In Touch Chiropractic we base your need for care on your spinal health. We encourage patients to continue wellness adjustments to keep up with the wear and tear that everyday life that can cause subluxations in the spine.
Q: Will I feel better right away?
A: It is not uncommon to feel better after your first Chiropractic adjustment, although this may not be the case for some. Every body is different so everybody will have a different outcome based on their own overall health and history.
Q: Do chiropractic adjustments hurt?
A: No, Chiropractic adjustment should not hurt. People have reported experiencing discomfort during their adjustment. This most likely due to an already inflamed area that is being treated.
Q: Are adjustments safe?
A: Yes, Chiropractic adjustments are safe when performed by a licensed chiropractor.
Q: I don’t have pain, should I get my spine checked?
A: Yes, even if your body is not experiencing pain there may be misalignments in your spine that are causing other kinds of dysfunction in your body. Pain is often the last symptom to show up when there are subluxations within the spine.
Q: Is there anything I can do to help with my treatments?
A: Yes, at In Touch Chiropractic we work with you and educate you on how to make better health choices and how you can prolong the benefit of each treatment.
Q: How long will my first visit be?
A: Your first visit will be roughly 45- 60 minutes. Please be here 15- 20 minutes before your scheduled day and time to fill out paperwork.
Q: How long will it take for me to feel better?
A: The amount of time it takes for an individual to feel better varies from person to person. At In Touch we design a care plan based on your personalized needs. Our goal is to get you feeling better as soon as we can and educating you on how you can keep yourself well.
Q: At what age should you start being adjusted?
A: Any age is a great age to start getting adjusted. The sooner the better! Chiropractic adjustments are safe for babies only hours old.
Q: I have had a bad experience with chiropractors in the past. How can you help me?
A: Here at In Touch Chiropractic we will address any issues that may be causing a source of uncertainty or fear and work with you to give you the best care possible.
Q: Will I be adjusted on my first visit?
A: Dr. Loni will typically adjust new patients on the first visit. If she deems further investigation is necessary the first adjustment may be postponed until we gather the information needed for a safe and effective adjustment.
Q: Who can benefit from chiropractic?
A: Almost EVERYONE can benefit from chiropractic care.
